RECENT UGANDA MISSION

A Call to Action: Water and the Word for Uganda’s Forgotten Believers.

Dear Partners in Christ,

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.I recently returned from an eye-opening mission in Uganda, where I had the privilege to fellowship with Pastor David Wafula and his humble congregation. What I saw and experienced there has left a deep mark on my heart — and I feel compelled to share it with you.

In this small rural community, water — a basic necessity we often take for granted — has become a weapon of division. The local mosque controls the only reliable water point in the area. Our Christian brothers and sisters are denied access to this water simply because of their faith in Christ.I stood among believers who walk long distances to fetch unsafe water, risking their health daily. I saw the weariness in their eyes — but also the unshakable flame of their faith. Even in hardship, they praised God. We prayed together.

I encouraged them in the Word, reminding them that the God who sent water from the rock in the wilderness is the same God who sees their struggle today. But prayer must be matched with action.

With God’s help — and the generous support of friends like you — we have started efforts to install a rainwater harvesting system at Pastor Wafula’s church. This simple system could transform lives, giving the believers clean, accessible water and relieving them from the humiliation and danger they face at the mosque’s gate. But the need is greater than one church or one village.Across Africa, thousands of Christians face similar struggles. Water scarcity is real — and so is spiritual hunger. Wherever we go, people are thirsty: for clean water, and for the Living Water that only Christ can give.

This is why DBM Ministries is calling you to partner with us in two key ways:

1. Support Evangelism Campaigns: Your gift helps us preach the gospel, train pastors, and strengthen new believers in hard places like Uganda — where following Christ can cost you even life’s essentials.

2. Fund Water Installation Projects: Rainwater harvesting systems, wells, and tanks are lifelines for churches and communities.

A gift of any amount will help us meet this critical need — and open doors for the gospel.Beloved, we cannot be silent. Faith without works is dead. I urge you to act today. Pray for these believers. Stand with us. Give generously.

Together, we can bring both water and the Word to the thirsty — for the glory of Christ.

Yours in His service,

Jacob Khabenga
